Julie joined Olsen Family Law in 2024, bringing with her a strong background in legal support and a passion for helping people navigate challenging times. A graduate of UC Santa Cruz with honors in Politics and a minor in Legal Studies, Julie previously clerked for the Santa Cruz Superior Court, gaining valuable insight into the legal system. At Olsen Family Law, she takes pride in making complex legal issues feel manageable, providing compassionate, clear support every step of the way. Outside the office, Julie enjoys cooking, spending time with loved ones, and exploring new corners of California.
Alexa is an attorney at Olsen Family Law, where she helps guide clients through life's challenging moments. She joined in September 2023 as a Legal Assistant while attending Santa Clara University School of Law, and was admitted to the California Bar in May 2026.
During law school, Alexa gained significant experience in alternative dispute resolution and mediation through Santa Clara Law and the Santa Clara Superior Court, along with internships with local judges and work in family law clinics. She earned Santa Clara Law's Public Interest and Social Justice Law Certificate and the John B. Bates, Jr. Award for Outstanding Student in Conflict Resolution.
Outside the office, she enjoys exploring local farmers markets and spending time with friends and family.
Courtney began her career in family law in 2013, bringing over a decade of experience to her role as Senior Paralegal at Olsen Family Law. After briefly exploring intellectual property law, she returned to family law in 2024, reaffirming her passion for supporting clients during life’s challenging transitions. Courtney particularly enjoys the variety each case brings, as well as the detailed research and writing necessary to move cases forward effectively. Outside the office, Courtney enjoys cooking, reading, and playing video games.
Shalini joined Olsen Family Law as a Senior Associate Attorney in May 2024, bringing compassion, experience, and a steady hand to each case she handles. Practicing law since 2017 with a dedicated focus on family law, Shalini values supporting clients through deeply personal and challenging times. She holds a JD from UC Hastings College of Law and earned her bachelor’s degree from UC Irvine. Outside the office, Shalini enjoys traveling internationally, long walks, and spending quality time with her husband, daughter, and their two dogs.
Trevor is the Managing Partner at Olsen Family Law, focusing on the firm’s overall operations, strategic growth, and ensuring the team has everything they need to provide exceptional client care. Licensed as an attorney in Utah, Trevor spent the early part of his legal career in the corporate tax world, developing a deep understanding of business strategy and financial management. He earned his accounting degree from Utah State University and his law degree from Michigan State University. Trevor genuinely enjoys managing the details behind the scenes, allowing the rest of the team to fully dedicate themselves to client support. Outside of work, Trevor loves spending time with his family and staying active through golf and tennis.
Lydia Alfaro joined Olsen Family Law in 2025, bringing nearly a decade of office support experience to the firm. She studied humanities in college and began her legal career supporting an estate planning and elder law attorney before transitioning into family law.
